Rock Drill Attachment for 25,000 Holes

When Aggregate Technologies was contracted to drilling 25,000 holes along the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers levee system in Louisiana, ATI designed a custom tool to get the job done quickly and safely. ATI fabricated a frame to hold two hydraulic rock drills and this is attached to the boom of an typical excavator.

The operator can drill two holes at a time while maintaining correct alignment and depth. This attachment can outdrill ten conventional drills in the current setup, and more drills can be added to the design as needed.
