Rock Drill Attachment for 25,000 Holes

When Aggregate Technologies was tasked with drilling 25,000 holes along the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers levee system in New Orleans, ATI designed a tool that would get the job done on time and on budget. After reviewing the job specs, ATI had fabricated a frame that holds two hydraulic rock drills that is attached to the boom of an excavator. This allows the operator to drill two holes at a time and maintain the correct alignment and depth - and stay safe and out of the water! It can outdrill 10 conventional drills in the current configuration, and if necessary more drills can be added to the design as needed.

2010 Employee Awards

Aggregate Technologies honored five employees in three categories at the annual company Christmas party on December 11, 2010. Employee awards were voted on by all Aggregate employees, and all recipients were given crystal awards and American Express Gift cards for a job well done. Employee of the Year and the Safety Leadership Award votes resulted in ties.

Gregory Bishop: Employee of the Year Greg is the person to call when there is a problem. He always answers the calls and shows up for work on weekends, holidays, whatever it takes to get the job done.

Joshua Hall: Employee of the Year Josh spent almost all of 2010 on jobs out of town. He was responsible for getting the work done and supervising the crew with him. It is hard to be gone from home so much and he stepped up to the task.

Augustin Vargas: Safety Leadership Award Augustin is one of the most dedicated laborers at Aggregate. During random safety inspections he is always working safely and wearing the proper PPE.

Nathan Robinson: Safety Leadership Award Nathan worked on many difficult jobs during 2010. Many of our customers request Nathan on the jobsite because he not only gets the job done, he does it safely. Nathan had a perfect safety inspection from the outside company that performs random safety audits for Aggregate.

Jaime Reyna: Most Dedicated Employee Jaime works in the shop and on the grounds doing whatever job needs to be done. He works long hours and yet he is always smiling. He has a great attitude and is dedicated to the company.
